omNovia Notes module

Ideal for webinars as well as collaborative meetings, Notes allows presenters to share formatted text notes in real time with attendees and other presenters. A Microsoft Word-like rich-text editor enables you to format any meeting notes and share them live with other participants. You may also save your notes into the Documents folder in MS Word, PDF, HTML or text format. Click here to learn more

New Users Management

Check out the new “Manage Users” link in the admin page, which has been written from group up to provide a better user experience. The new Users Manager offers a search function, pagination for long lists and a nicer interface.

Automatic Event Started is now always on time

A significant number of our customers use the auto Recast starter (available in the Event Manager) to launch their pre-recorded webinars. However the ‘robot’ agent was sometimes ‘late’! The problem has been resolved and the events now start spot on!

More YouTube options

You can now add a YouTube movie to play after people register for your events (see in Admin Page > Event Manager). It is also an option now to play a YouTube movie as an Ending Marketing page (in Admin Page > Room Settings). The new feature embeds a YouTube movie to the end page.

Enhanced Announcements

Hyper links are now highlighted in announcements in the room. We also fixed a few bugs with saving announcements with line-breaks.

Slide Show Options

Moderators and Presenters will now see an Options and Settings button in the Slide Show area, which will allow them to specify whether they want to advance slides via mouse clicks and/or keyboard strokes in addition to using the ‘next’ and ‘previous’ buttons.

More options for Chat positioning

A few months ago we introduced the option to place the chat area under the users list. You now have even more options: if you set your room in “split” (Left and Right) media module mode (see Admin Page > Room Settings), you now can place the chat area under the Left or the Right Media module tab. These new options provide more flexibility when it comes to utilizing the screen real estate. You can for instance have the live video and chat in the left column while showing a large slide show on the right hand side. To modify the chat options, login to the Admin Page, then go to the Room Settings.

Closed Captioning

requirements following the US State Department’s selection of the omNovia Web Conference. Beyond closed captioning, this new feature may be used to convey messages to the attendees while a presenter is speaking as an example. Moderators will find a “Closed Captioning” button in the general Options box in the room (click gray button in the upper right corner to pop this window).
