The Senior Video Streaming Software Programmer will be in charge of design and implementation of modules, within the omNovia Web Conference platform, that relate to audio and video streaming. Enhancing quality, reliability and flexibility in video streaming in addition to creating new innovative solutions are the ultimate goal of this position.

Detailed job description

 

  • Location: Houston, TX, USA
  • Reports to the Director of Technology
  • Daily Activities Include:
    • Improving current video and audio related modules
    • Design new architecture for new modules leveraging open source audio and video tools
    • Integrating modules into the existing omNovia Web Conference platform
    • Participate in research programs leading to omNovia’s next generation software

 

Requirements

 

  • Have solid experience in c and Java language.
  • Have experience with video streaming servers such as Red5 and/or Adobe FMS.
  • Have experience with video and audio processing tools such as ffmpeg and Xuggler
  • Have a team oriented attitude.
  • Have discipline in creating scalable and well documented software code, which include proper testing and QA.
